Job Description

One of my Financial Clients in urgently looking for a Front Office Equity and Option IT Business Analyst.

 

Location: New York, NY

Hourly: $60 - $70 per hour (W2)

 

Must-to-Have Skills:

  1. Equity and Option trading knowledge. System expertise: Fidessa (preferred) or Dash, E
  2. Experience in IT Support Business Analyst functions for Front Office in the Finance industry
  3. Knowledge of financial Products (Equities, Equity Structured Products, Equity Listed Options, Securities Lending) and their trade workflows
  4. 3-5 years of experience

 

Knowledge and experience in:

  • Equity and Option trade execution (Fidessa, Dash, EMSX or similar like Flextrade…) and booking (Loanet, Sophis or similar like Calypso..)
  • Structured products trades and workflows.
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Knowledge of SQL and FIX is mandatory
  • Financial Institutions experience
  • Strong communication skills.to effectively support the needs of the Front Office teams
  • Ability to quickly prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment on multiple applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • trong interpersonal and organizational skills

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure Operational Excellence: Address user support requests and manage incidents with efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring timely resolutions
  2. Become a Trusted Partner: Forge strong relationships with traders by working directly with their desks to support applications they use on their day to day
  3. Champion Quality: Conduct thorough testing of new features, bug fixes, and system updates to guarantee they meet business objectives and perform flawlessly
  4. Empower Users: Provide comprehensive training and create clear, concise user guides to enhance application adoption and proficiency
  5. Bridge Development and Business: Act as a liaison between user needs and IT Development teams, facilitating clear communication and effective prioritization for feature implementation
  6. Proactive Monitoring: Monitor application performance to identify and proactively resolve issues, ensuring a seamless user experience and optimal operational efficiency
  7. Communicate Effectively: Provide regular, clear updates on support activities, requests, and project statuses to stakeholders and management
  8. Understand the Business: Deeply engage with Front Office teams to understand their workflows, solicit feedback, and identify key areas for enhancement
  9. Uphold Standards: Ensure all support activities align with internal policies and industry best practices
