Duration: 4 6 Months Contract, with Possible Extension

Pay Rate: Up to $75/hr on 1099

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager Record to Report (R2R) to support a U.S.-based client with accounting cleanup, financial remediation, month-end close, and end-to-end Record to Report operations.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (CPA, CA, or equivalent) with 8 10+ years of hands-on R2R experience, strong knowledge of US GAAP, and practical experience working with Oracle Fusion ERP.

This is a client-facing, 100% onsite position in San Jose, CA, requiring an individual who can work independently, execute with urgency, and deliver highly accurate results within tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) accounting activities.
  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain the General Ledger, including journal entries, account maintenance, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare, post, review, and validate journal entries (JEs).
  • Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Review and analyze GL account balances and identify unusual or incorrect transactions.
  • Perform accounting book cleanup, remediation, and financial stabilization activities.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and P&L reports within the consolidated ERP environment.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, intercompany accounting, AP/AR reconciliations, and other account reconciliations.
  • Handle Fixed Asset Accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and amortization.
  • Perform Cost Accounting activities and analysis.
  • Conduct variance analysis against actuals, forecasts, and budgets and prepare management commentary.
  • Support financial reporting and ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting data.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable financial regulations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, client stakeholders, auditors, and management to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Identify accounting issues and drive timely resolution with minimal supervision.
  • Support internal and external audit activities as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting certification is required/preferred.
  • 8 10+ years of hands-on Record to Report (R2R) experience.
  • Strong experience in end-to-end R2R operations.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion ERP MUST HAVE.
  • Strong experience with General Ledger, Journal Entries, Account Reconciliations, and Month-End Close.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and U.S. accounting processes.
  • Experience with Balance Sheet and P&L reporting.
  • Experience with Fixed Asset Accounting and Cost Accounting.
  • Experience with Intercompany Accounting and Bank Reconciliation.
  • Experience performing accounting cleanup, remediation, and process stabilization.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
  • Must be willing and able to work 100% onsite in San Jose, CA.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with U.S.-based clients or U.S. accounting organizations.
  • Previous experience in Finance Controller, Finance Manager, Finance Director, R2R Manager, or R2R Operations leadership roles.
  • Experience in a shared services, BPO, or global accounting environment.
  • Experience supporting financial remediation, accounting cleanup, or process stabilization projects.
  • Exposure to internal and external audits and regulatory compliance.
