The Role • Prepare drafting projects, including creation of various drawings from layouts and sketches based on established technical specifications. • Utilize Autodesk Inventor to develop solid models and drawings, consulting with engineers on model accuracy, design, and drafting standards. • Create 3D solid models (traditional and BIM/Revit), detail drawings, and system layout drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor to support product development. • Develop customer submittal documents and installation, operation, and maintenance instructions. • Assist engineering by providing input on new or existing designs to improve performance, costs, and manufacturability. • Maintain organization and standards for controlled documents, acting as a gatekeeper for sensitive product documentation. What You'll Need • Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Drafting & Design; Bachelor's Degree preferred. • 2+ years of experience working proficiently in AutoCAD and 3D CAD (Inventor is a plus), with versions 2012 or newer. • Familiarity with ASME Y14 drafting standards. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Microsoft Access and Project are a plus. • Ability to read and interpret complex detail drawings and architectural/structural blueprints. • Strong communication and documentation skills.
