Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a senior VMware Architect / Expert to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) responsible for architecture design, strategy definition, governance, and complex decision-making across VMware platforms and enterprise infrastructure. This is an Expert / Architect / Design-level role requiring deep hands-on and leadership experience with VMware Cloud Foundation and related technologies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Define architecture strategy and technology roadmap for VMware platforms
• Govern design standards, best practices, and technical frameworks
• Drive large-scale transformation and modernization programs
• Provide guidance on scalability, resiliency, performance, and security
• Act as primary escalation point for critical technical issues
• Ensure alignment with business objectives and project outcomes
• Oversee delivery quality, risks, and compliance

 

Required Skills:

• Deep expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), NSX, vSAN, and VMware Cloud / multi-cloud platforms
• Strong knowledge of Tanzu and Kubernetes ecosystems
• Cloud-native and platform engineering experience
• Enterprise networking, security, DR, and automation
• Infrastructure-as-code and orchestration capabilities
• Enterprise architecture leadership and strategic planning
• Stakeholder management up to CxO level

 

Certification Required:

VMware Certified Advanced Professional – VMware Cloud Foundation VKS (Kubernetes)

VMware Certified Advanced Professional – VMware Cloud Foundation Automation
