Location: Westlake, TX
Duration: 12 months + ext
 
Location: Westlake, TX **Connect weeks required - Onsite Monday through Friday every other week
 
Role Clarification:
-Primary focus: Power BI developer with strong reporting lens
Secondary requirement: Understanding of data modeling and Snowflake as the sole data source to optimize performance
-Key responsibilities: Migrate reports from OS to Power BI, build semantic models, optimize DAX functions, and determine best placement of calculations (Power BI vs. database)
-Differentiator: Proactive problem-solving, working with COE teams, and building reusable templates
 
Prior Candidate Feedback:
-Lack of depth on performance tuning: Candidates could not provide specific scenarios where they addressed performance issues in Snowflake or Power BI
-Weak scenario-based responses: Unable to elaborate on real-life challenges and solutions when pressed
-Limited proactiveness: Missing the proactive, solution-oriented approach demonstrated by working across teams on templates and custom export solutions.
-Insufficient Power BI expertise: Could not answer detailed questions on DAX optimization, semantic modeling, or migration strategy from OS to Power BI
