Role:
HGV Class 2 ADR Driver Company:
BOC Gases Salary:
£46,123.00 yearly Employment type:
Temporary (ongoing)
Pertemps North London is currently recruiting for professional and reliable HGV Class 2 ADR Driver for one of our most prestigious National clients who are the largest provider of industrial, medical and special gases in the UK and Ireland.
This role requires high attention to safety, navigating scheduled multi-drop routes, and handling hazardous materials in strict compliance with current transport laws.
Key Responsibilities
Dangerous Goods Transport:
Operate commercial vehicles safely, strictly adhering to full ADR regulations and safety guidelines
Deliveries & Collections:
Complete scheduled multi-drop deliveries to various commercial, retail, or industrial premises
Vehicle Compliance:
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any defects immediately to the transport office
Manual Handling:
Securely fasten all cargo, which may involve manual handling of gas cylinders or specialized waste containers
Documentation:
Complete and maintain exact tachograph records, delivery notes, and regulatory dangerous goods paperwork
Requirements
Licence:
Valid UK HGV/LGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence
Qualifications:
Current, in-date Driver Qualification Card (CPC) and Digital Tachograph Card
ADR Certification:
Must hold a valid ADR card (minimum Class 2 Gases in Packages
Experience:
Ideally 3 years licence held with 180days driving experience in the past 2 years
Licence Cleanliness:
Maximum of 3 penalty points. No active CU80, MS90, CD, DR, DD, IN, or TT endorsements due to insurance restrictions
Willing to undertake a driving assessment, along with a DBS criminal records check and Drug & Alcohol test
Benefits
Work life balance typical start times of 06.00 - 07.00hrs, shift length 8-10hrs,
Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work
Paid breaks & additional allowance payments for working weekends on top of hourly pay rates
Minimum shift guaranteed 6hrs
Weekly pay with accrued holiday pay
Ongoing work, treated as part of the clients team with Permanent opportunities
Access to ongoing driver training and courses which count toward CPC modules
Free uniform, safety equipment, and secure on-site parking
