Job Description

Education and Experience
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 7+ years developing/supporting ETL, ELT, data integration, engineering, or warehouse solutions.

  • 3+ years in senior developer/technical lead role for complex data integration delivery.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD (Azure DevOps), Snowflake, Matillion, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SQL Server.

  • Leadership in design, code review, release coordination, troubleshooting, and mentoring.

  • Preferred: Master s degree in related fields.

  • Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, insurance, finance) with strong compliance requirements.

  • Experience migrating legacy ETL platforms to Snowflake and Azure.

  • Experience integrating multiple data sources (databases, flat files, APIs, SaaS, vendor feeds).

  • Relevant certifications (SnowPro, Matillion, Azure Data Engineer, etc.).

  • Experience working with agile teams, MSPs, offshore partners, vendors, stakeholders.

Key Knowledge and Skills
  • Snowflake: Advanced SQL, warehouse management, file handling, performance & cost optimization, security.
  • Matillion: Advanced orchestration, job management, reusable components, error handling, deployment.
  • Azure: Data and integration services, cloud security, secrets management, deployment automation.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT architectures, batch/incremental loading, CDC, slowly changing dimensions.
  • Ability to translate business/data requirements into integration designs.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts: dimensional modeling, normalization, data lakes, reporting layers.
  • Data quality and audit frameworks, including lineage, control totals, exception processing.
  • Secure engineering for sensitive data: encryption, least privilege, masking, logging, environment separation.
  • Git and Azure DevOps-based source control and deployment processes.
  • Diagnosing complex issues across data, application, database, network, authentication.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, DevOps, change/incident/problem management, production support.
  • Leadership in technical design, standards, mentoring, and influencing delivery.
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work within agile, waterfall, hybrid, and ITIL-based models.
