Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • must be able to identify and document installation and integration hardware required for projects.
  • qualified to perform complex diagnosis repairs and modifications to aviation ground electronics systems and various other equipment.
  • qualified to perform required periodic maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, install, and test equipment as required
  • qualified to climb towers up to and including 60 ft.
  • qualified to operate machinery and equipment such as manlifts, forklifts, and excavating systems.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Eight (8) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance and checkout.
  • One (1) year of practical experience in electronics installation.
  • Will be required to attend antenna climbing/rescuer training and certify to climb antenna towers in excess of 50 ft.
  • Extensive travel (CONUS and OCONUS) is required as on-site installations range from 6 to 12 weeks at a time, depending on site requirements.
  • Must have a current passport or the ability to obtain one.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with reading and editing electronic and cabling schematic drawings, RF cable and connector installation, surge protection, basic metal and cable fabrication, hand and power tool operation, and heavy equipment operation (forklifts, man lifts).
  • An active Secret security clearance is strongly preferred.


Educational Requirements:

1.) High School diploma or GED.

2.) Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training to include: installation tasks, soldering, cable dressing, cable tray, conduit, and making/ repairing connectors.
