DevOps Engineer

The DevOps Engineer will support the cloud team in the implementation of best practices for cloud infrastructure, DevOps, containerization, and pipelines (including security scanning, testing, and approvals), and work with HIR directorates and vendors to help containerize their custom and COTS applications. Other technology and organizational duties as assigned.

Candidate Capability and Experience Requirements

The DevOps Engineer will require hands-on experience with any of the list of technologies below in an enterprise environment. The Offeror will provide resumes of the top 3 most qualified proposed staff demonstrating proven previous experience, ability, or understanding of / with the following:

Cloud Operations

1. AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform hands-on experience in multiple accounts/subscriptions/projects environment.

2. Experience provisioning and managing cloud services (e.g. compute, storage, networking, security, databases) in an enterprise environment

3. Cloud security native/3rd party tools and best practice

4. Cloud networking (e.g. VPC, firewall, security groups, VPN, hybrid cloud Direct Connect/Express Route/Interconnect)

5. Cloud resource management automation (e.g. scripting)

DevOps

1. Experience developing with modern application programming frameworks

2. Experience containerizing applications within Kubernetes

3. Experience with GitLab (preferred)/GitHub

4. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and best practices

5. Experience writing Terraform HCL infrastructure code

6. Deployment automation - CloudFormation, ARM template, Python, or PowerShell

7. Git Version Control in DevOps: git best practices, branching, tagging, release management, etc.

8. Experience deploying to AWS/Google Cloud Platform/Azure Kubernetes as service

9. Deployment using Dockerfiles, Helm charts, Bash, or PowerShell scripting

10. Kubernetes monitoring and logging

11. Experience with datacenter Kubernetes platforms such as VMware Tanzu and RedHat OpenShift

12. Systems engineering/administration (5+ years)

13. Linux/Windows administration on virtualized environments (VMware/EC2/etc)

14. Understanding of secrets management, auditing, testing, and monitoring

15. Experience deploying and configuring databases (MySQL, SQL, Oracle)

Other Skills

Good communication skills and the ability to prepare technical documentation

Candidates should be flexible enough to work a diversified schedule at all customer''''s data center locations and

participate in 24x7 on-call technical support.
