Oracle Order Management Lead Consultant – Automotive

Location: United States
Travel: 15–30% typically; up to 75% when required
Technology: Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Order Management Lead Consultant with strong automotive experience to lead the implementation and support of Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management.

The consultant will work on customer order and fulfillment processes including OEM releases, JIT/JIS delivery, CUM management, shipping, customer compliance, and order-to-cash processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Order Management and automotive release-management workshops.
  • Understand and document current and future order-to-cash processes.
  • Configure Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management for:
    • Sales orders
    • Fulfillment lines
    • Order orchestration
    • Holds
    • Backorders
    • Split shipments
    • Returns
    • Order changes and exceptions
  • Manage OEM customer releases, including forecast and firm schedules.
  • Design and manage CUM reconciliation processes.
  • Work with EDI teams for OEM releases, order acknowledgments, ASNs, invoices, and shipment updates.
  • Define rules for partial shipments, over/under shipments, shipping windows, expedites, and premium freight.
  • Integrate Order Management with Inventory, Manufacturing, WMS, Transportation, Supply Planning, EDI, and Accounts Receivable.
  • Support customer-specific labels, ASN requirements, packaging, routing, and shipping documents.
  • Prepare process documents, configuration documents, test scripts, training materials, and cutover plans.
  • Lead SIT, UAT, integration testing, CUM testing, and go-live support.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Oracle Order Management implementation experience.
  • 3+ years of Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management experience.
  • 5+ years of automotive OEM, Tier 1, or automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive release management:
    • 830 Planning Schedules
    • 862 Shipping Schedules
    • Forecast and firm demand
    • Release changes
  • Strong understanding of CUM management, including shipped CUM, received CUM, authorized CUM, CUM reset, and reconciliation.
  • Experience integrating Oracle OM with WMS, Inventory, Manufacturing, Transportation, EDI, Supply Planning, and AR.
  • Experience with OEM portals, ASNs, customer labels, routing guides, and shipping requirements.
  • Knowledge of JIT, JIS, sequencing, OEM delivery windows, and premium freight.
  • Strong communication, documentation, testing, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the United States.

Preferred Skills

  • Multi-plant or multi-business-unit automotive experience.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS Release Management.
  • Knowledge of AIAG standards, automotive EDI, packaging standards, and OEM shipping compliance
