Job Description

Almstead Tree & Shrub Care is seeking NYS Certified Pesticide Applicators (preferred) or experienced professionals with a strong background in tree injection treatments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected, environmentally conscious tree care company dedicated to preserving the health of urban landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform tree injection treatments with precision and care
  • Treat ash trees for Emerald Ash Borer
  • Treat elm trees for Dutch Elm Disease
  • Follow all safety protocols and application standards

NYS Pesticide Applicator Certification (preferred) or relevant field experience

Experience with tree injection systems and treatments

Knowledge of ash and elm tree care is a plus

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Valid driver’s license preferred

Compensation & Employment Details:

  • Pay range: $22–$32 per hour, based on experience
  • Initial 3-month contract assignment
  • Opportunity to convert to a full-time role based on performance
