Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused IT Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite technical support in Burlington, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues while delivering excellent end-user support in a fast-paced environment.

Please Note: This is a full-time 1099 Independent Contractor position. No employee benefits, paid time off, health insurance, or other company-sponsored benefits are provided.

Work Authorization Requirement

This position is open only to candidates who are U.S. Citizens, s, L2 or J2 EAD.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite desktop and laptop support to end users.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 systems.
• Resolve hardware, software, printer, and peripheral issues.
• Support Microsoft Office 365 applications and services.
• Manage user accounts, password resets, and access permissions.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
• Perform software installations, upgrades, and hardware deployments.
• Document incidents and service requests in the ticketing system.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams and vendors to resolve issues.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and equipment records.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Desktop Support, Help Desk, or IT Support roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Active Directory.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Experience with ticketing and remote support tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications.
• Experience in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of hardware deployment and asset management.
