Job Description

Workday Contract and Journeys Consultant 
Location: Fully Remote
Duration: Long term contract
 
Position Summary
This will be working on contract/offer automation for 14 countries (non-US & separate requirements by country) so experience setting these up globally would be needed. For Journeys, we will be working with a Workday partner for implementing this, we would like a contractor to sit alongside our HRIS team and the partner team on the implementation (we will be using the partner only for a partial - phase 1 rollout for EMEA) and then would use the contractor to roll out Journeys globally eventually.

Contracts/offer letter
  • Process Configuration: Configure and optimize Workday Recruiting subprocesses, including Offer, Employment Agreement, and Onboarding steps.
  • Dynamic Document Creation: Build and update offer letters and employment contracts using Workday Docs and calculated fields to inject real-time data tokens (compensation, job profiles, and locations).
  • Workflow & Approvals: Set up multi-level internal approval chains and manage security permission domains for sensitive document visibility.
  • E-Signature Integration: Maintain seamless integrations with external signing platforms (such as DocuSign) for on-screen candidate execution.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot generation errors, test complex condition rules, and ensure seamless data handoff from pre-hire to active worker profiles.
 
Journeys
  • Design and Configuration: Build, test, and maintain personalized employee journeys using Workday’s drag-and-drop builder and pre-built templates.
  • Process Integration: Connect Workday tasks, external links, and third-party applications to streamline moments that matter (such as onboarding, manager transitions, and role changes).
  • Audience Segmentation: Target specific journeys based on location, job level, department, or demographic data.
  • Collaboration & Strategy: Partner with internal communications, HR business partners, and leadership to digitize training, policy rollouts, and employee engagement campaigns
 
Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on Workday HCM configuration experience, specifically Workday Recruiting and Journeys.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Workday Onboarding, Workday Docs, calculated fields, business process framework (BPF), and notification/document generation setup.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with global or regional compliance needs for employment contracts and digital signatures.
  • Soft Skills: Strong requirement-gathering skills to translate HR policies into automated system workflows.
