Job Description




A professional services firm in New York City is seeking a new Senior Workday HRIS Analyst / Workday Functional Consultant. In this role, the Senior Workday HRIS Analyst / Workday Functional Consultant will support the administration and optimization of a complex Workday HCM environment.


About the Opportunity:



  • Assignment Length: 3 to 6 months

  • Setting: Hybrid (NYC Area; at least 4 days a week onsite; local candidates preferred!)


Responsibilities:



  • Own and maintain Workday Business Process workflows across core HR functions

  • Manage Workday master data, security-related business process routing, and data integrity activities

  • Partner with HR, Talent, Benefits, Payroll, and business stakeholders to support operational and strategic initiatives

  • Analyze and resolve complex Workday functional issues and process exceptions

  • Configure, test, and support business process enhancements and system changes

  • Develop and maintain self-service reporting, dashboards, and workforce analytics

  • Support Workday releases, testing cycles, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Drive adoption of Workday self-service capabilities and best practices across the organization

  • Ensure compliance with data governance and HR operational standards

  • Perform other duties, as needed


Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of HRIS experience, including significant hands-on Workday HCM experience

  • Strong expertise supporting and maintaining Workday Business Processes in a production environment

  • Deep understanding of Workday core HCM data structures, organizational structures, and master data management

  • Experience supporting HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, and workforce administration

  • Advanced knowledge of Workday reporting, dashboards, analytics, and self-service functionality

  • Proven ability to work directly with HR leadership and business stakeholders

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities

  • Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting large enterprise Workday environments

  • Exposure to Workday modules such as Talent, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Payroll, or Absence Management

  • Experience participating in Workday releases, UAT, and change management efforts

  • Previous consulting experience supporting multiple clients or business units
