The Role • Interpret drawings and 3D models to develop fabrication processes and generate NC code in a "Build to Print" environment. • Plan, tool, and set up multi-axis mills, lathes, and mill-turn machines for complex prototype hardware. • Create and verify NC programs using CAD/CAM software to meet exacting tolerances. • Fabricate fixtures, work-holding solutions, and custom tooling to support unique part geometries. • Measure and inspect machined components, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications. • Prepare hardware for test or field deployment using independent judgment on execution methods. What You'll Need • Experience with CNC controls using EIA and Conversational programming (Fanuc, Mazak, HAAS). • Ability to write and edit G & M Code, including MDI programming. • Knowledge of cutting tools, holders, and selection, along with speed and feed calculations for aluminum and stainless steels. • Experience with in-process inspection of work for quality assurance using and/or making gages. • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to facility requirements. • Experience with Fixture Design and Fabrication is a plus.
