Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client located in Beaverton, OR who is looking for a Pattern Engineer 3.
Duties:
* Coordinates the fit and construction from initial concept through to commercialization and production for assigned styles to lead to on time development and delivery
* Create and revise Tech Packs for assigned styles and ensure all appropriate development documentation is maintained including product specs and prototype notes
* Track and facilitate prototyping for styles.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in apparel design, textile science or related field; 2 years of additional product creation experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
* 5+ years of technical design experience in the apparel industry, which includes the apparel development process from inception through production including pattern making, grading, construction, materials, costing, manufacturing and quality
* Strong problem solving, organization and communication skills
* Experience interpreting design intent and offering alternative solutions
* Experience writing product specs and construction standards instructions
* Experience working with factory vendors to ensure and improve manufacturability
* Ability to manage multiple projects
* Experience using Adobe Illustrator, CAD Pattern Design software (Optitex) and 3D software (Clo) highly desired
* Proficiency with MS Office programs
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
