Quality Engineer III

Akkodis is seeking a Quality Engineer III for a Contract with a client in Gurnee, IL. The ideal candidate with experience driving quality assurance, process improvement, and customer quality initiatives within manufacturing environments to ensure product excellence and operational effectiveness.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Quality Engineer III Job Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain Quality Assurance plans, APQP activities, and quality processes to support new product introductions and customer requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams during product development, process design, and implementation phases to ensure quality standards are achieved.
• Investigate customer, supplier, and internal quality issues, driving corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and tracking their effectiveness.
• Evaluate inspection methods, develop quality documentation, and provide guidance on inspection processes, work instructions, and quality controls.
• Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality concerns, improve manufacturing processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical quality support, conduct training, and promote process optimization and standardization across manufacturing operations and global customer programs.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Quality within a production environment.
• Strong experience with APQP, process optimization, new product introduction (NPI), and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage customer and supplier quality issues, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support cross-functional manufacturing operations.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
