Job Description

Position Summary

The Teamcenter PLM Techno-Functional Consultant will bridge engineering business processes and Teamcenter solution delivery. The role will lead requirements clarification, process design, configuration, demonstrations, testing, documentation, and adoption for core PLM capabilities while collaborating closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, migration, integration, validation, and support teams.

PLM Program Scope

·        Teamcenter and Active Workspace implementation for the Create2Make PLM workstream

·        CAD data management and integrations for Creo, SOLIDWORKS, and AutoCAD

·        Part management, EBOM, product structure, document management, and classification

·        Engineering change processes, including change requests, change notices, workflows, approvals, and release controls

·        Integration with SAP and other enterprise engineering systems using supported Teamcenter integration patterns

·        Data migration from legacy PLM and engineering repositories, including relationship, status, maturity, and metadata validation

·        Environment, release, testing, deployment, and operational-readiness coordination

·        Global stakeholder engagement, demonstrations, training, adoption, and transition to support

Key Responsibilities

·        Facilitate workshops with engineering, PLM, CAD, manufacturing, IT, and program stakeholders to understand current processes, pain points, and target-state requirements.

·        Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, configuration specifications, and traceability artifacts.

·        Design and configure Teamcenter capabilities for parts, revisions, EBOM, product structures, documents, classification, lifecycle, statuses, workflows, approvals, and change processes.

·        Support CAD data-management requirements for Creo, SOLIDWORKS, and AutoCAD, including model/drawing relationships, check-in/check-out, release, visualization, and downstream usage.

·        Work with the Solution Architect to validate solution options and with the Development Lead to clarify custom-development needs and functional behavior.

·        Prepare realistic demonstration data, scripts, expected outcomes, and business context for internal rehearsals and customer demonstrations.

·        Lead or support functional walkthroughs, prototype reviews, fit-gap analysis, backlog refinement, and design sign-off.

·        Develop test scenarios and scripts; coordinate system, integration, regression, dry-run, and user-acceptance testing; manage defects through closure.

·        Support migration mapping and validation by defining business rules for metadata, revisions, structures, relationships, lifecycle states, ownership, and released content.

·        Coordinate with SAP and integration teams to ensure business process continuity and clear ownership of interface behavior and error handling.

·        Create process documentation, configuration workbooks, training materials, quick-reference guides, release communications, and knowledge-transfer content.

·        Support user readiness, role mapping, training, adoption, hypercare, and transition to support.

·        Communicate risks, gaps, decisions, and dependencies clearly and proactively to program leadership and stakeholders.

Required Technical and Functional Competencies

·        Siemens Teamcenter, preferably recent enterprise releases, and Active Workspace

·        BMIDE, Teamcenter data model, preferences, organization, access controls, workflows, queries, and classification

·        Teamcenter Integration Toolkit (ITK), SOA/REST services, and enterprise integration patterns

·        Teamcenter Dispatcher, visualization/JT concepts, and CAD integration frameworks

·        Java, C/C++, XML, XSLT, JSON, SQL, and scripting as applicable to the role

·        Source control, code review, CI/CD, release management, and Azure DevOps or equivalent tooling

·        Agile/Scrum delivery with strong documentation, traceability, and defect-management discipline

Required Experience and Qualifications

·        10+ years of PLM experience with substantial Teamcenter functional or techno-functional delivery experience.

·        Strong knowledge of engineering product-development processes, part/revision management, EBOM, documents, classification, and engineering change management.

·        Hands-on Teamcenter configuration experience using BMIDE, workflows, preferences, organization, access controls, queries, and Active Workspace configuration.

·        Ability to distinguish business-process requirements from system design and translate between users and technical teams.

·        Experience creating requirements, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, test scripts, training materials, and demo scripts.

·        Experience supporting customer demonstrations and recovering effectively when demonstrations or test sessions encounter issues.

·        Strong facilitation, documentation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.

·        Bachelor''s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

·        Strong written and verbal English communication skills suitable for customer-facing workshops, reviews, demonstrations, and executive status discussions.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Experience with CAD integrations and engineering use cases involving Creo, SOLIDWORKS, or AutoCAD.

·        Experience with Teamcenter-SAP integration, data migration, and enterprise rollout activities.

·        Experience in medical devices or another regulated product-development environment.

·        Familiarity with Agile delivery, requirements traceability, validation evidence, and release readiness.

Leadership and Behavioral Expectations

·        Strong customer-facing communication and the ability to explain complex PLM topics in business language

·        Collaborative leadership across architects, developers, functional consultants, migration, integration, testing, and support teams

·        Ability to operate effectively in a high-visibility global program with multiple stakeholders and changing priorities

·        Structured problem solving, ownership, transparency, and timely escalation of risks and dependencies

·        Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver clear solution walkthroughs, internal rehearsals, and customer demonstrations
