Senior Software Developer with Security Clearance

Role: Senior Software Developer Location: Chantilly, VA Work Arrangement: Onsite Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) Experience: 12+ Years Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 per year Level: Senior Professional Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Developer with 12+ years of professional software development experience to support a mission-focused program in Chantilly, VA.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot, along with strong experience working with Apache CXF, Apache Tomcat, XML, and SOAP web services. This position requires a seasoned software development professional who can independently analyze technical requirements, design and develop robust software solutions, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and contribute to the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise software applications using Java. Develop and implement applications and services using the Spring Boot framework. Design, develop, and integrate web services using the Apache CXF framework. Develop, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications hosted on Apache Tomcat. Work extensively with XML-based data and SOAP web services. Analyze complex technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions. Perform software debugging, troubleshooting, testing, and issue resolution.

Participate in software architecture, design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance activities. Collaborate with software engineers, system engineers, and other technical stakeholders to deliver mission-critical capabilities. Maintain and enhance existing applications while developing new functionality as required. Utilize development environments and tools such as NetBeans IDE. Develop and maintain technical documentation and follow established software engineering standards and best practices.

Support continuous improvement of software development processes, code quality, and system performance. Required Qualifications 12+ years of professional software development experience. Extensive hands-on experience developing software using Java. Strong experience developing applications using Java and Spring Boot. Professional experience developing with the Apache CXF framework. Hands-on experience with Apache Tomcat server. Strong understanding of XML data and XML-based applications. Experience developing or integrating SOAP web services.

Knowledge of or hands-on experience with the NetBeans IDE. Strong software development, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and effectively in a technically demanding environment. Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) required.

Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting U.S. Government or national security mission environments. Experience with enterprise-scale Java applications and service-oriented architectures. Experience integrating Java applications with external systems and web services. Experience working within Agile or other structured software development methodologies. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop practical, scalable solutions.
