Job Description

About the Role

Integrated Marketing team is looking for a Senior Marketing Writer to bring clarity, craft, and creative range to the way we communicate our brand and products to the world. This is a contract role embedded within the Integrated Marketing team and reporting to the Brand Lead.

This isn't a technical writing role. We're not looking for someone to write data sheets or product specs. We're looking for a skilled marketing writer who can move fluidly between advertising copy, web content, campaign messaging, executive communications, and short-to-medium-form content across formats - and who can do it in a category (enterprise NAND and SSD storage) that requires intellectual curiosity and genuine willingness to learn the terrain.

You don't need to come in knowing PCIe Gen5 from QLC. You do need to be the kind of writer who gets up to speed quickly, asks the right questions, and translates complex ideas into language that moves people.

What You'll Do Brand & Advertising Copy
  • Write and refine copy for digital advertising, social campaigns, display, OOH, and paid media placements
  • Develop campaign messaging frameworks that align with brand positioning, brand voice, and campaign strategy
  • Iterate quickly in response to creative direction, translating concepts into tight, on-brand language
Content & Web Copy
  • Produce short-to-medium-form content including web page copy, landing pages, email campaigns, and product messaging
  • Partner with the digital and campaign teams to ensure copy is optimized for its intended channel and audience
  • Maintain voice and tone consistency across the Solidigm brand as it evolves
Executive & Strategic Comms Support
  • Support the Brand Lead and senior marketing stakeholders with presentation narratives, talking points, and internal and external communications as needed
  • Bring a strong editorial eye to any writing that carries the name
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with designers, product marketers, and campaign managers to develop copy that fits the work, not just the brief
  • Engage with subject matter experts - engineers, product managers, sales leaders - to extract the insights that make messaging credible and specific
  • Participate in creative reviews, bring the audience along the journey in arriving at the recommendations, and provide clear, constructive rationale for your copy choices

What We're Looking For Required
  • 7+ years of marketing writing experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates range across advertising, content, and campaign copy
  • Demonstrated ability to write in a consistent brand voice while adapting tone for different formats, audiences, and channels
  • Comfort working in technical or specialized B2B categories - you don't need a background in storage or semiconductors, but you need to be able to learn the subject matter and write about it credibly
  • Strong instincts for what makes messaging land: clarity, specificity, voice, and the ability to distill complex ideas without losing accuracy
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams and working from briefs, as well as exploring and driving copy direction when the brief is loose
  • The organizational discipline to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and hit deadlines in a fast-moving environment
Nice to Have
  • Experience writing for enterprise tech, hardware, cloud infrastructure, or semiconductor-adjacent categories
  • [s]Familiarity with brand positioning work and the relationship between strategy and copy[/s]
  • Background working in or alongside agency environments, where range and speed are both table stakes
  • Prior contract or consulting engagements where you've had to earn trust quickly and integrate into an existing team dynamic

About This Engagement

This is a contract role, not a full-time employee position. The ideal candidate is an experienced independent contractor or is open to working through a staffing agency, and is comfortable operating in an embedded capacity within a corporate marketing team. Details on contract length, hours, and rate will be discussed with qualified candidates.
