Job Description

Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and enterprise-scale containerized environments. In this role, you will design, secure, and validate production-ready cloud infrastructure within a highly regulated healthcare ecosystem (Health100). You will partner closely with cross-functional architecture, security, networking, and application teams to eliminate environment blockers and ensure seamless application onboarding. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure & Security: Design and enforce secure-by-default Google Cloud Platform infrastructure patterns (VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, DNS, Cloud Armor, and IAM least-privilege access). 
  • Platform Delivery: Configure and manage Kubernetes (GKE) platform dependencies, including Workload Identity, namespaces, and service mesh (Istio).
  • Data & Middleware Integration: Validate connectivity and readiness for Cloud SQL, Oracle DB@Google Cloud Platform, Redis, Kafka, and BigQuery.
  • Troubleshooting & Operations: Diagnose complex environment issues across DNS resolution, blocked network paths, IAM gaps, and missing certificates. 
  • Strategic Readiness: Develop environment readiness checklists, platform scorecards, and runbooks to streamline the enterprise migration factory model.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years in infrastructure/systems engineering; 4+ years of hands-on Google Cloud Platform enterprise experience.
  • Containers: 3+ years supporting Kubernetes/GKE in production.
  • Networking & Security: Deep understanding of enterprise cloud networking, routing, load balancing, private endpoints, and identity controls (SSO/IAP).
  • Troubleshooting: Advanced skills diagnosing Linux, DNS, IAM, and firewall connectivity failures.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent enterprise experience. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (Healthcare/HIPAA or Financial Services).
  • Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) validation.
  • Familiarity with Istio Service Mesh and edge security (Cloud Armor, Akamai, or F5).
  • Proven success navigating complex, matrixed enterprise organizations.
