You'll target large government-funded projects, build long-term client relationships and position ALS Water as the laboratory partner of choice across the water sector.You'll work closely with Senior Managers and technical teams to develop client-specific solutions, respond to major tenders and represent ALS with professionalism across the industry.Regular travel across VIC, SA and TAS is required.What You'll DoDrive new business and market expansion across the VIC, SA and TAS water sectorIdentify and win large government-funded projects and high-value opportunitiesBuild and maintain long-term relationships with water utilities, government agencies, consultants and industry clientsDeliver on-time, high-quality quotations, tenders and proposalsCustomise client-specific solutions and support Senior Managers with their business development activitiesResearch market drivers, trends and potential clients to inform strategyPrepare tenders, technical bulletins and marketing literatureActively network through key industry associations, conferences and eventsMaintain current knowledge of market trends and competitor activityUphold ALS brand standards and comply with all global policies and directivesWhat You'll BringEssentialProven business development, sales or account management experience with a track record of winning new businessBackground in water, environmental, laboratory or government-related sectorsExperience navigating government procurement, tenders and long sales cyclesStrong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skillsSelf-driven, commercially minded and comfortable working autonomouslyHighly RegardedExisting network across VIC, SA and/or TAS water utilities, CMAs or government agenciesFamiliarity with PFAS, environmental compliance or drinking water quality programsActive involvement in AWA, WIOA or other water industry associationsWhy ALS Water?Global organisation with local expertise and a genuine growth agendaCollaborative, science-led culture with strong internal supportCompetitive salary + performance incentives + vehicle allowanceReal opportunity to shape and grow a key market territoryWorking at ALSThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.Our values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.At ALS, you'll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
