Job Description

BMS SERVICE ENGINEERCarbon60 is looking to recruit a BMS Service Engineer to work for our specialised industrial client Equans based in Cambridge area.ROLE: BMS EngineerPAY RATE: £27.26/per hour PAYECONTRACT TYPE: 3 Months contract (Potentially perm.)LOCATION: Cambridge Area (may be asked to cover Boston/Grantham/Peterborough/Norfolk/Ipswich)(this position will require SC/CTC Clearance)HOURS: 40:00 hours per week (flexible hours), Monday to Friday, 07:00 AM to 19:00 PMTHE ROLE:Main duties & responsibilities:Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on Building Management Systems (BMS).Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults on BMS and HVAC control systems.Install, configure, test, and commission BMS controllers, sensors, actuators, and associated equipment.Work on Trend, Tridium (Niagara), Distech, Siemens and other BMS platforms.Attend reactive breakdowns and participate in the on-call rota.Perform software updates, minor programming modifications, and system optimisation.Monitor system performance and recommend energy-saving or remedial improvements.Prepare quotations and proposals for remedial or improvement works.Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematic drawings.Produce accurate service reports and technical documentation.Provide technical support and maintain strong customer relationships.Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company and site procedures.ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).Strong experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS/BEMS) and HVAC controls.Knowledge & experience with Trend, Tridium Controls/Niagara/Distech/SiemensExperience carrying out PPM, fault finding, servicing and commissioning of BMS systems.Ability to diagnose faults within electrical control panels.Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematic drawings.Good understanding of electrical systems and building services.Basic knowledge of IT networks.Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.Good report writing and communication skills.Full UK Driving Licence.Ability to obtain/pass a DBS check.Willingness to participate in an on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours work.What happens next?Your application and CV will be carefully reviewed by the recruitment team managing this position.
