Role Summary:
Due to strategic growth and evolving security demands, our Client is seeking a highly skilled DV Security Architect. This pivotal role is instrumental in shaping security architecture strategies, ensuring comprehensive protection for complex systems and infrastructure. The appointment represents a unique opportunity to influence high-profile projects, work on critical initiatives, and contribute to national security efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop security architectures aligned with organisational requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust security frameworks.
- Assess existing security controls and identify areas for enhancement or innovation.
- Provide expert guidance on secure system design, network architecture, and threat mitigation.
- Lead risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and security assurance activities.
- Develop security policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support project teams by integrating security architecture principles into new initiatives.
- Stay abreast of emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices to inform strategies.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience with security architecture design, preferably within defence, government, or highly regulated environments.
- Active DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance or ability to obtain it.
- Strong knowledge of network, application, and system security principles.
- Experience with security assessment and risk management methodologies.
- Familiarity with relevant security standards and frameworks (eg, ISO 27001, NIST).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Prior experience working on large-scale or critical national infrastructure projects.
- Certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, TOGAF, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of secure cloud architectures and modern security solutions.
- Experience in writing and reviewing security documentation and policies.
