Job Description

Basic JD — MBSE Systems Engineer

Location: Remote

Role Summary:
Responsible for developing and maintaining system models using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies. The role involves translating system requirements into architectural models, supporting system design and analysis, and ensuring traceability across the system lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain system models using SysML/MBSE methodologies.
  • Capture and analyze system requirements and establish requirements traceability.
  • Develop system architecture, functional, logical, and physical models.
  • Perform system-level analysis, trade studies, and interface analysis.
  • Define and maintain system interfaces and interface requirements.
  • Support verification and validation planning and traceability.
  • Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, mechanical, and verification teams.
  • Maintain model consistency, configuration, and documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews and support technical documentation.
  • Identify system-level risks, gaps, and inconsistencies.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electronics, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of Systems Engineering lifecycle and processes.
  • Knowledge of MBSE and SysML concepts.
  • Experience with tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect, or equivalent is desirable.
  • Understanding of requirements management and traceability.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams.
