The HWT CAD team is seeking a passionate individual to drive solutions that deliver measurable organizational impact. In this exciting and highly visible role, you will enhance and support a complex AI application that directly impacts our CAD and design teams while also supporting critical automation systems.
Description
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining our automation system used for analysis and QA, as well as our existing AI applications that serve our CAD and design teams, while also driving innovation through frontier technology projects and proof-of-concepts. Working closely with cross-functional CAD and design teams, you will gather requirements and integrate various components to ensure high-quality results through continuous improvement and optimization.
This position requires strong collaboration skills as you will create detailed specifications and project plans while executing initiatives through partnerships with CAD and design teams across multiple sites. You will communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders and drive alignment between technical solutions and business requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum requirement of BS + 10 years of relevant industry experience
Demonstrated understanding of GenAI models (e.g., LLMs such as GPT, BERT) and their application in real-world solutions, such as chatbots and NLP applications.
Software engineering experience with a focus on modular, object-oriented design, and familiarity with industry-standard development processes
Programming skills and hands-on experience in Python, Java, or C++
Preferred Qualifications
High ownership, self-sufficient, hands-on individual to drive quality across the project
Demonstrate innovative and creative thinking capabilities
Hands-on experience developing AI-powered applications
Experience designing and deploying agentic AI systems
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with popular LLMs, such as Gemini, Claude
Curious, self-motivated, and able to drive improvements to model evaluation pipelines and annotation programs
Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal.
Experience with dashboards or tools like Splunk is a plus.
Experience with version control tools like Perforce or Git a plus.
