Job Description

  • Library Services UniSC Sunshine Coast, UniSC Moreton Bay, UniSC Caboolture, UniSC Gympie or UniSC Fraser Coast
  • Level 4, $76,275 - $80,218 p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation
  • Part time (14.5 hours per week), fixed term appointment until December 2026
The Opportunity

In this role, you will support the efficient acquisition, processing, and maintenance of library resources that underpin learning, teaching, and research across the University. You will undertake acquisitions, copy cataloguing, invoice processing, and collection maintenance activities, ensuring library collections remain accurate, accessible, and discoverable for the UniSC community.

Working collaboratively within the Library Collections and Access team, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, support high quality collection services, and help deliver an exceptional client experience aligned with the Library's commitment to innovation and service excellence.

You will
  • undertake acquisitions activities, including ordering, receiving, processing, and maintaining accurate records for library resources;
  • perform copy cataloguing and metadata maintenance to support resource discovery, accessibility, and collection quality;
  • contribute to collection maintenance, invoice processing, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance library services and workflows; and
  • other duties within the range of skills normally associated with this classification in an evolving and innovative academic environment, as required by the Library Services Managers.
About you

You are a detail oriented and organised library professional who enjoys working with systems, processes, and data to support high quality library collections. You are collaborative, adaptable, and committed to delivering accurate, efficient services while contributing positively to a supportive team environment.

You will possess
  • Completion of an associate diploma with relevant library experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, training and experience;
  • Sound knowledge of library acquisitions, processing, and copy cataloguing across a range of resource formats;
  • Experience using integrated library management systems and desktop applications relevant to library operations;
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and undertake detailed work with a high degree of precision;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across library teams; and
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a client focused environment.
