SQL DBA

We are seeking a Senior SQL Server DBA with strong expertise in SQL Server administration, replication, and AWS RDS. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with managing SQL Server environments on AWS RDS, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and data integrity across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and support SQL Server databases in production and non-production environments

• Manage SQL Server on AWS RDS, including provisioning, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance

• Design, implement, and support SQL Server replication (Transactional, Snapshot, Merge)

• Monitor database performance and perform query tuning, index optimization, and capacity planning

• Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery strategies

• Ensure database security, access control, encryption, and compliance

• Troubleshoot database and replication issues in high-availability environments

• Perform backup, restore, and recovery operations

• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams

• Create and maintain database documentation and operational runbooks

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA

• Strong expertise in SQL Server administration (2016/2019/ 2022)

• Proven hands-on experience with AWS RDS for SQL Server

• Deep experience with SQL Server Replication (Transactional, Snapshot, Merge)

• Strong understanding of AWS RDS limitations, monitoring, and best practices

• Experience with performance tuning using execution plans, indexing, and statistics

• Hands-on experience with backup, restore, HA/DR strategies

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration abilities
