Job Description

Job Title: Embedded Hardware Design Engineer

Location: Dearborn, MI 48126 (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)

 

Skills:

EIS: ASIC Backend Semi Custom Physical Design, Unix / Linux Basics and Commands
EIS: Embedded Digital Hardware Design and Development
EIS: Embedded Software/Firmware Development
SAP Dealer Business Management (DBM)

 

Experience Required: 8-10

Role Descriptions:

Design, build, integrate, test, and document reusable embedded hardware and software assets. Develop SmartBench hardware architecture and support prototypes and design reviews. Integrate multichannel audio solutions and develop software simulation control for BCM functionality. Create and update requirements artifacts and maintain traceability across designs and tests. Identify and manage risks related to hardware and software integration.

 

Essential Skills:

Experience with SmartBench or NetNode hardware design is beneficial. Familiarity with multichannel audio-board design and analog-to-digital conversion is a plus. Knowledge of automotive automation-testing platforms is advantageous. Experience with PCB fabrication and bill-of-materials management is helpful. Ability to coordinate workstreams across onsite and offshore teams is desirable.

Hands-on experience in embedded hardware architecture, schematic design, PCB layout, and electrical validation is essential. Proficiency in developing embedded software, firmware, and drivers is crucial. Knowledge of Linux-based development and automotive BCM interfaces is required. Strong troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration skills are necessary. Experience with hardware-software integration and testing is a must.
