About the Business
Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.
Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India's first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

The Change Management specialist is responsible for governing and executing the end to end Change Management process, ensuring that all IT changes are planned, assessed, approved, implemented, and reviewed with minimal risk to business operations. This role ensures process compliance, quality control, continuous improvement, and strong coordination between technical, business, and governance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Change Request Governance
- Lead the full lifecycle of change requests-submission, validation, impact assessment, approval, implementation, and closure.
- Ensure all changes follow the defined Change Management policy, templates, workflows, and compliance standards.
- Validate change categorization (Standard / Normal / Emergency) and prioritization.
- Ensure changes are backed by proper testing, implementation plans, back out plans, and risk assessments.
2. CAB (Change Advisory Board) Management
- Plan, schedule, and lead CAB / ECAB meetings.
- Ensure all required stakeholders are informed and participate in decision-making.
- Prepare CAB meeting agendas, change summaries, and risk highlights.
- Document CAB approvals, rejections, or deferrals with proper justification.
3. Risk, Impact & Quality Assessment
- Review each change for technical completeness, risk level, business impact, and dependency conflicts.
- Assess change collisions, scheduling conflicts, and readiness.
- Ensure adherence to blackout windows, maintenance schedules, and business freeze periods.
4. Implementation Monitoring
- Monitor high-risk and major changes during execution.
- Ensure timely communications to stakeholders before, during, and after change deployment.
- Track change failures, rollbacks, and deviations from plan.
5. Reporting & Metrics
- Prepare and publish weekly/monthly Change Management dashboards.
- Track KPIs:
- Change success rate
- Change failure rate
- Emergency change percentage
- Unauthorized changes
- SLA adherence
- Analyze trends and recommend corrective actions
6. Continuous Improvement
- Conduct Post Implementation Reviews (PIR) for major/failed changes.
- Identify gaps in planning, testing, or risk mitigation.
- Work with Problem/Incident teams to avoid repeat issues caused by poor-quality changes.
- Enhance automation, workflows, and process improvements within the ITSM platform.
7. Stakeholder & Communication Management
- Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure teams, service owners, and vendors.
- Communicate change schedules, risks, and impacts to business and leadership groups.
- Train technical teams on Change Management policies and best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5-7 years of ITSM/Change Management experience, including 2-3 years in a lead role.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL V3/V4 (Change Management certification preferred).
- Experience managing changes in complex enterprise environments (cloud, network, applications, infra).
- Excellent coordination, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira Service Management, etc.
