Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain enterprise reporting, executive dashboards, and data pipelines for large-scale IT portfolio management.

• Location: Lansing, MI (Local candidates only)
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite every Wednesday & Thursday)
• Interview Process: Virtual via MS Teams Video (Laptop with screen-share capability required)

Core Skills & Responsibilities

Primary Technical Requirements

• SQL & Data Engineering: Build and optimize complex SQL queries, scalable data models, and automated data pipelines.
• Business Intelligence: Design interactive executive dashboards and scorecards using Power BI.
• Portfolio Analytics: Track project performance, KPIs, risk factors, and financial trends across enterprise systems.
• Stakeholder Management: Gather business requirements directly from leadership and translate them into actionable BI solutions.

Preferred Skills

• PPM Tools: Experience with platforms like Clarity, ServiceNow PPM, Planview, or MS Project Online.
• Microsoft Cloud Ecosystem: Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Agile & Governance: Exposure to IT governance frameworks and PMBOK/Agile methodologies.

Position Qualifications

• Experience: 3 to 7+ years in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or Enterprise Data Analytics.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presenting to leadership.
