Job Description
We're looking for an Application Development Engineer to join a team supporting existing enterprise applications through development, maintenance, and release management work. This is a hands-on opportunity to work on Node.js or Java-based solutions, contribute to cloud and CI/CD practices, and help improve the reliability and performance of critical systems.

Responsibilities
- Support and enhance existing applications through ongoing development, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Design, build, test, and deliver code changes for application improvements and issue resolution
- Participate in release management activities, including code reviews and deployment support
- Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and business partners to analyze needs and deliver effective solutions
- Assist with monitoring, incident resolution, and data-related support for enterprise systems
- Contribute to the use of cloud technologies and CI/CD practices to improve delivery quality and efficiency
- Work within Agile and cross-functional environments to support team goals and project timelines
- Help maintain integrations and data workflows across supported applications and platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, application support, systems integration, or a similar technical role
- Experience working in healthcare or health insurance environments
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise integrations and data workflows
- Working knowledge of JSON, XML, and CSV data formats
- Experience with REST APIs and web services
- Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably AWS
- Programming experience with Node.js, Java, SQL, and stored procedures
- Experience with AWS Glue, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
- Comfort using development and support tools such as Jira, GitLab, Postman, Move It, Stonebranch, CyberArk, and Team Dynamix
- Exposure to Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server environments
- Experience improving application quality through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities in a support-focused environment
- Self-motivated approach with a focus on reliable, scalable, and high-quality outcomes
- Experience partnering across teams to solve complex technical challenges
- Interest in cloud modernization and engineering best practices
