Marketo Platform Engineer

job summary:

Integrations & Engineering: Design, build, and maintain robust API integrations and backend data flows connecting Marketo to external platforms, databases, and enterprise systems.

Platform Support & Maintenance: Provide engineering support for custom integrations, resolving underlying technical issues that impact campaign orchestration and data flow.

AWS & Infrastructure Alignment: Work closely with cloud infrastructure (AWS) to support platform architecture, data processing, and enterprise scalability.

Data & Lead Flow Management: Oversee backend system performance, database hygiene, custom object integrations, and technical lead scoring architecture.

Cross-Platform Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional technical teams to connect Marketo with platforms like Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Microsoft Dynamics.

Quality & Performance: Develop rigorous QA, testing, and technical documentation standards to ensure stable, reliable operational performance across all Marketo integrations.

qualifications:

Technical Expertise: Deep hands-on experience in backend Marketo engineering, technical architecture, and system integration (beyond frontend journey or campaign creation).

API & Development Skills: robust experience with API development (REST/SOAP) and custom integrations within the Marketo ecosystem.

Cloud & Platform Experience: Proficiency with AWS cloud services and backend data infrastructure.

MarTech Ecosystem: Knowledge of enterprise MarTech stacks; experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) or Microsoft Dynamics is a robust plus.

Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex data flow issues, integration errors, and system bottlenecks.

Certifications: Marketo Certified Expert or Architect preferred.
