LOCATION:  Full-time onsite in Herndon, VA Step into a role as a Systems Administrator where you’ll manage a cloud‑based R&D environment, deliver responsive O&M support, and assist with application integration and deployment. You’ll build and troubleshoot hardware and virtual servers, harden Linux and Windows platforms, implement firewalls and PKI controls, monitor system events, maintain patch compliance, and safeguard access and security in alignment with Sponsor requirements. $130,000 - $260,000 / year Key Responsibilities In this challenging yet rewarding role, you are an integral part of what brings our Company's mission to life. You must have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience in and/or with: * Manage the Sponsor’s Research and Development (R&D) environment in the Sponsor’s cloud environments. * Providing level O&M services, troubleshooting, system backup and restore, and software upgrades. * Providing technical support for integration and deployment of applications into the Sponsor’s cloud production environment. * Providing hardware and virtual server build, installation, troubleshooting, O&M, system backups and restoral for the Sponsor and Mission Partners. * Providing guidance, recommendations, and technical assistance on cloud, hardware platforms and operational system software. * Monitoring and taking responsive actions on system alarms and audit events. * Providing system hardening to hosting platforms operating systems (like Linux and Windows). * Planning, developing, and implementing system security procedures to include implementing firewalls, SSL, x509, PKI certificates and system hardening (like Linux and Windows). * Ensuring patch compliance and version updates on all software up to and including middleware required by Sponsor applications. * P/O PM responsibilities via Application release notes * Managing system access control and security in accordance with Sponsor security requirements. * Supporting other system administration functions as required by the Sponsor.
