QA Engineer with .Net

Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist 2 (QAS2) – Software Tester (.NET)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist 2 (QAS2) / Software Tester with strong experience in software quality assurance, test automation, and Microsoft .NET applications. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases to ensure applications meet functional, performance, security, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Test web applications and backend services developed using .NET/C#.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Execute manual and automated test cases and document test results.
• Identify, analyze, and report software defects using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar defect-management systems.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA team members to resolve defects.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Validate database functionality using SQL queries.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Support CI/CD testing and integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions pipelines.
• Maintain QA documentation, test metrics, defect reports, and traceability.
• Participate in production validation and troubleshooting when required.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
• Hands-on experience testing Microsoft .NET applications.
• Strong knowledge of C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent automation tools.
• Strong experience with manual and automated testing.
• Experience with API/Web Services testing.
• Strong SQL/database testing experience.
• Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Understanding of SDLC/STLC and QA methodologies.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SpecFlow, NUnit, xUnit, or MSTest.
• Experience testing REST/SOAP APIs.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Azure/AWS environments.
• Performance testing experience using JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and Page Object Model.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub/Azure Repos.
• Experience with microservices and distributed applications.

Education

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
