Job Overview
Client is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer – Playwright Automation to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation, modern programming languages, CI/CD integration, and software quality assurance practices.
The Quality Engineer will collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and QA stakeholders to define test strategies, improve automation coverage, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
- Build and enhance automation frameworks for web application testing.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Identify, document, track, and manage defects throughout the complete bug lifecycle.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
- Analyze automation results, generate test reports, and communicate quality metrics.
- Improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and QA best practices.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous process improvement.
- Troubleshoot test failures and provide recommendations for quality improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Playwright automation testing.
- Strong programming experience with one or more of the following:
- JavaScript
- TypeScript
- Python
- Experience developing automated end-to-end test scripts.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as:
- Jenkins
- GitHub Actions
- Azure DevOps
- Experience with API testing tools such as:
- Postman
- REST Assured
- Experience testing web applications and user interfaces.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building or enhancing automation frameworks.
- Experience with modern test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or WebdriverIO.
- Experience with cloud-based CI/CD environments.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale applications.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
