Job Description
Scientist, Antibody Formulation Development
Slough, UK | 12-Month Contract (Maternity Cover)
We're recruiting for a Scientist to join a leading biopharmaceutical organisation's Injectable Formulation Development team. This is a hands-on laboratory role supporting the development of monoclonal antibody therapies from early-stage research through to late-stage clinical development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting protein and antibody characterisation studies, supporting formulation development activities, authoring technical documentation, and presenting scientific findings. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic R&D environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory experiments and analytical studies to support pre-clinical and clinical development programmes.
- Support pre-formulation and formulation development activities.
- Author protocols, reports, and technical documentation.
- Analyse and interpret experimental data and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Contribute to laboratory operations and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of laboratory experience.
- Strong experience with protein/antibody analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, iCE, UV spectroscopy, DLS, CGE, rheology, and particle analysis methods.
- Experience in formulation development and/or laboratory automation would be advantageous.
- Strong data analysis, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Must have the right to work in the UK/EU.
