Role: SAP Enterprise Architect – ECC to S/4HANA RISE (Aerospace & Defense)
Location: Seattle, WA (Remote with 20% travel)
Duration: 6 - 12 months contract

Job description:
Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise architecture for ECC to SAP S/4HANA RISE transformation.
• Define the target SAP landscape, architecture roadmap, and migration strategy.
• Design solution architecture across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Master Data.
• Architect integrations using SAP BTP, CPI/PI/PO, APIs, IDocs, and third-party systems.
• Define data migration, cutover, and modernization strategies.
• Ensure compliance with Aerospace & Defense regulations and security standards.
• Guide development teams on SAP extensions and BTP best practices.
• Review solution designs and establish architecture governance.
• Partner with business leaders, SAP, cloud providers, and infrastructure teams throughout the transformation.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP experience, including 5+ years in architecture/solution design roles.
• Minimum 2 full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations, including at least one ECC → S/4HANA transformation (brownfield or selective data transition).
• Proven experience designing large-scale SAP landscapes in Aerospace & Defense or similar regulated manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of:
• S/4HANA Finance and Logistics
• SAP RISE with S/4HANA (Private or Public Cloud)
• SAP integration tools: BTP, CPI, PI/PO, APIs, IDocs
• Data migration tools and approaches (Migration Cockpit, LTMOM, ETL tools).
• Experience working with security/compliance in A&D (DCAA, FAR/DFARS, ITAR, NIST etc. – any mix).
• Excellent communication skills; able to translate complex architecture topics to business and executive stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology/Solution Architect, S/4HANA).
• Experience in GovCloud or ITAR-compliant environments.
• Prior consulting experience with large A&D or industrial clients.
• Experience with SAP Activate and modern cloud architecture patterns.
