Job Description

QA Engineer - Healthcare Technology

Location: Trivandrum, Hybrid


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for healthcare applications using Java with Selenium or Playwright.
  • Validate integration workflows across clinical systems such as HIS, EMR/EHR, RIS, PACS, and VNA.
  • Test and validate healthcare interoperability standards including DICOM, HL7, and FHIR across integrated systems.
  • Build and maintain automated API and integration test suites for REST APIs and microservices-based healthcare platforms.
  • Design test strategies, test plans, and test cases covering functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and clinical stakeholders to identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD-integrated automated test pipelines for continuous testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data and integration issues across connected healthcare systems.
  • Document test plans, test coverage, and quality processes for maintainability and audit readiness.


Required Skills

  • Healthcare Domain Expertise: Strong experience with DICOM, HL7, FHIR, healthcare interoperability, and system integrations.
  • System Integration Testing: Experience validating integrations between healthcare applications such as HIS, EMR/EHR, RIS, PACS, VNA, and related clinical systems.
  • Automation (Java/Selenium): Proficiency in Java-based test automation using Selenium WebDriver.
  • Automation (Playwright): Hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end and API test automation.
  • API Testing: Experience testing REST APIs and microservices-based architectures (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
  • Testing Practices: Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, test planning, and defect management.
  • Experience: 5+ years of QA/test automation experience. Prior experience testing healthcare software, medical devices, diagnostic imaging, or digital health platforms is highly valued.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.


Good to Have

  • CI/CD & DevOps: Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Performance & Load Testing: Exposure to performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter) for healthcare integration workloads.
  • Medical Imaging: Familiarity with DICOM imaging and PACS ecosystems, including 2D/3D image visualization and processing concepts.
  • Leadership: Experience leading QA workstreams or mentoring test engineers within healthcare product teams.


Note: Senior QA professionals with proven experience in healthcare product testing are preferred. Candidates with prior experience in healthcare software, medical devices, diagnostic imaging, or digital health platforms are strongly encouraged to apply.
