Job Description

We are seeking an Application Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, Victoria. This is a full-time opportunity for a qualified engineering professional with a minimum of one year of relevant full-time experience in engineering, building automation or a related discipline.

About the Role

As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS), supporting the delivery of smart and energy-efficient building solutions.

Working closely with engineering consultants, contractors and internal teams, you will analyse technical documentation, prepare engineering proposals and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle to ensure solutions meet client and project requirements.

Requirements
  • Responsible for the design and development of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
  • Conduct detailed analysis of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic drawings and specifications to ensure seamless integration of building controls and automation systems.
  • Facilitate the promotion and understanding of building automation technologies, including sensors and direct digital controllers, among stakeholders.
  • Prepare comprehensive tenders and sales proposals tailored to specific client requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering consultants and contractors to deliver energy-efficient and smart building solutions.
  • Provide liaison and technical support to both the business development and project engineering teams.
About You
  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant full-time engineering experience.
  • Experience or exposure to Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS) or building automation technologies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Full-time permanent opportunity (40 hours a week)
