Job Description

Help Shape the Next Phase of Project Delivery Across Defence, Healthcare and Education. We are recruiting for a Senior Associate Project Manager with influence, variety and room to grow

As demand continues to grow across our defence, healthcare and education sectors, we're looking for a Senior Associate Project Manager to join our Winchester team.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager who enjoys leading complex projects, building trusted client relationships and working alongside specialists from across the built environment. You'll join a growing team at a time of continued investment and expansion, with the chance to play an important role in shaping both project delivery and the future growth of the region.

At Ridge, project management sits at the centre of successful delivery. Working closely with colleagues in Cost Consultancy, Building Surveying, Architecture, Engineering and Sustainability, you'll help clients navigate complex challenges and bring projects forward with confidence.

If you're looking for a role where you can lead meaningful projects, develop client relationships and help shape a growing team, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a chance to join a respected consultancy, work on complex and rewarding projects, and play an important role in the continued growth of our Winchester business.

The Role

As a Senior Associate Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead projects from inception through to completion, acting as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
  • Deliver projects across defence, healthcare, education and public sector environments.
  • Manage procurement, programme, risk and governance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Administer and manage projects delivered under NEC contracts.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve programme, quality and commercial objectives.
  • Support business development activities and contribute to the continued growth of the Winchester team.
  • Mentor and develop junior colleagues.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships alongside senior leadership.

What You'll Be Working On

The Winchester team delivers a varied portfolio of projects, with particular strength in defence, healthcare and education.

You'll work on programmes that require clear leadership, careful stakeholder management and strong project controls. Opportunities range from estate improvement programmes and operational healthcare environments to education developments, infrastructure works and defence projects.

You'll also benefit from Ridge's multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with experts from across the business and gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle.

About You

We're interested in experienced project management professionals who can combine technical expertise with strong client-facing skills.

You are likely to have:

  • Consultancy-based project management experience within the construction and property sector.
  • Experience delivering projects within healthcare, defence, education, infrastructure or similar environments.
  • A sound understanding of NEC contracts.
  • Experience leading project teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A professional qualification or chartered status, or a commitment to achieving it.

Most importantly, you'll bring professionalism, sound judgement and a commitment to delivering successful outcomes for clients.

About This Team

We provide a partner-led service from day one, helping clients navigate complex programmes and capital projects with confidence. Combining national capability with strong regional relationships, we coordinate specialist expertise and maintain accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
