Role Summary
Due to ongoing strategic developments and expansion, Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer with Developed Vetting (DV) clearance to join their talented team. This role is pivotal in advancing sophisticated defence systems, offering a unique opportunity to be at the heart of cutting-edge technology development. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded software solutions for complex defence projects.
- Collaborate closely with hardware and systems teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Analyse requirements and translate them into robust, efficient code.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and troubleshoot software issues to maintain system integrity.
- Contribute to technical documentation and support system validation activities.
- Stay current with industry advancements to continuously improve software capabilities.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in embedded software development within a defence or security environment.
- Valid Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, or similar.
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems and embedded hardware interfaces.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and contribute to design documents.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with safety-critical systems and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of hardware design and firmware integration.
- Prior exposure to Agile methodologies and collaborative development practices.
- Additional security clearances or industry qualifications relevant to defence projects.
