Job Description

Your new company An established and highly regarded commercial construction business is seeking an experienced Services Manager to oversee the technical and commercial delivery of building services from pre-construction through to project completion. Working closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors and senior leadership, you will play a critical role in driving project outcomes, managing risk, ensuring quality delivery and providing technical guidance across multiple projects.

As the Services Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Providing technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire services packages.
  • Supporting tendering, estimating and pre-construction activities, including contractor procurement and design reviews.
  • Reviewing service designs and identifying opportunities for cost savings, innovation and program efficiencies.
  • Managing services installation to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Supporting project teams through commissioning, handover and defect resolution.
  • Driving sustainability initiatives and overseeing project requirements relating to NABERS, Green Star and other performance objectives.
  • Developing internal capability through mentoring, training and knowledge sharing
What you'll need to succeed:
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a relevant trade background with extensive industry experience.
  • 10+ years' experience in a Services Manager or similar role within the commercial construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of building services design, installation and commissioning processes.
  • Experience working on large-scale or technically complex projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A sound understanding of construction contracts, compliance requirements and industry standards.
  • White Card and relevant site-based certifications.
