Job Overview:
We are seeking a Junior-level Developer-Java/J2EE Professional with 3 to 5 years of experience to join a fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building rapid prototypes, MVPs, and experimental web tools using the latest AI coding assistants. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys learning new technologies, iterating quickly, and collaborating with AI to bring innovative ideas to life.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize AI-powered development tools (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) for daily tasks.
• Engineer prompts to optimize AI coding output and manage tokens effectively.
• Develop and iterate web applications, APIs, and backend services using AI tools.
• Prototype new features, tools, and MVPs based on team and customer feedback.
• Debug and refine AI-generated code for reliability and usability.
• Experiment with emerging AI tools and workflows to enhance the development process.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver projects efficiently.
• Document processes and share learnings with the team.

Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in software development or related roles.
• Proficiency in Java (version 17+), JavaScript, and Python.
• Experience with web frameworks such as Angular, React, Flask, or Express.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants like ChatGPT or GitHub Copilot.
• Ability to engineer prompts to guide AI coding output effectively.
• Strong debugging, testing, and independent coding skills.
• Experience with REST APIs and NoSQL database integrations.
• Familiarity with additional languages or frameworks (e.g., TypeScript, Next.js, Django).
• Previous experience in hackathons, bootcamps, or independent projects.
• Knowledge of automation, low-code/no-code tools, or creative coding.

Must Have Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years of experience with strong expertise in Java (version 17+) and Spring Boot using microservice architecture.
• Experience in maintenance, bug fixes, and product enhancements.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI-assisted coding tools while demonstrating strong core coding skills.

Pay Range: $60- $65/hr
