The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer who enjoys solving technical challenges and seeing projects progress from concept through to manufacture. Working closely with customers, estimating, engineering and production teams, you'll play a key role in converting customer drawings, sketches and samples into accurate manufacturing documentation while optimising production efficiency and supporting quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate CAD models and manufacturing documentation.
• Develop CNC programs for laser cutting and folding operations.
• Create efficient nests and toolpaths to maximise material utilisation.
• Prepare production documentation and shop drawings.
• Work closely with production to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers throughout the manufacturing process.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across programming and production.
• Assist with quality assurance and ensure components meet specification.

About You

To be successful, you'll bring experience within sheet metal manufacturing, laser cutting or fabrication along with strong CAD/CAM programming skills.

Experience with the following will be highly regarded:

• SolidWorks
• SigmaNEST
• TRUMPF TruTops Boost
• AutoCAD, DraftSight or similar CAD software

You'll also have:

• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
