Full-time Asset Technician in Bundall maintaining water and sewer networks. 9-day fortnight, $2,656-$2,725 per fortnight + super. Leak detection, CCTV, SAP.

  • $2,655.98 - $2,725.44 per fortnight (excl. allowances) + superannuation

The Utilities Network Maintenance team is responsible for the operation, planned and unplanned maintenance, and assessment of passive assets associated with drinking water, non drinking water and sewerage networks, pumping stations, tanks, reservoirs, and associated civil and structural facilities.

The branch delivers a continuous supply of safe and reliable drinking water under normal conditions. During emergencies, Asset Reliability coordinates provision of drinking water to critical customers and service areas and restores services as quickly as possible when interruptions occur.

About the role

This role suits someone with experience in leak detection and auditing/inspection of pipework and water assets using CCTV and various leak detection devices. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting internal and contractor resources to deliver outcomes in planned maintenance
  • Overseeing delivery of maintenance plans, including SAP administration
  • Undertaking maintenance, auditing and investigation on water and sewer networks city wide
  • Ensuring all work meets safety, environmental and legislative requirements
  • Completing work in line with relevant codes and standards
  • Providing high standard customer service to meet operational standards
  • Participating in hands on planned maintenance activities
We're looking for people who have
  • C Class Driver's Licence (Unrestricted) (Mandatory)
  • General Construction Induction Card (White) (Mandatory)
  • Demonstrated experience using CCTV and other devices to audit/inspect and perform leak detection on water and wastewater assets
  • A detailed, quality focused approach meeting safety, environmental and legislative requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with external customers and internal staff
  • Self motivation with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Initiative, judgment and effective resource use to meet goals within timeframes
  • A team oriented mindset
  • Effective numeracy and literacy skills
