Cloud Developer: MUST have strong AWS Lambda with API Gateway and Python Development experience and experience with Terraform. (Had a candidate teched out for not having strong enough Python Development skills).

·       Strong cloud-native background

·       AWS Lambda (Python)

·       Terraform (IaC)

·       Kafka

·       System design understanding

·       API Gateway

·       Java background and has transitioned to AWS/Python/serverless

·       Strong communication with non-technical stakeholders

Not a fit: Candidates currently focused on Java, DevOps, or SRE

 

 

Job Description:

Need strong Python experience. Came from a Java development background and moved into Python/AWS development. 

 

Need knowledge in:

• AWS
• Lambda
• Terraform
• API Development
• Cloudwatch
• Strong foundation in cloud technologies – python, Java, AWS, Lambda, Step Functions

·       System Design knowledge

·       Kafka

Required Qualifications:

• 12-15+ years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience (U.S. based)
• Strategic thinker is a MUST

·       Someone with consistent communication and ability to follow through

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional preferred)
• Experience in cloud environments
• Strong experience with Terraform
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
