Position Overview

The State of New York is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer with strong Salesforce development, integration, security, DevOps, and leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flow, APIs, CI/CD, and enterprise integrations.

Experience with AI integration, prompt engineering, and unified data profiles is also highly desirable.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should clearly identify the number of months of experience for each qualification on their resume.

Salesforce Leadership

• 84 months of experience working on projects, including 3 or more years in a leadership role, on the Salesforce platform.

REST & SOAP Web Services

• 60 months of experience designing and consuming custom REST and SOAP web services.

Salesforce Security & Authentication

• 60 months of experience implementing secure connections using:

  • OAuth 2.0 flows

  • JWT

  • Named Credentials

  • Single Sign-On (SSO)

Integration Platforms

• 36 months of experience with integration platforms such as:

  • MuleSoft

  • Informatica

Salesforce Development

• 60 months of experience with:

  • Salesforce Apex Classes

  • Apex Triggers

  • Controllers

  • Lightning Web Components (LWC)

  • Aura Components

  • Visualforce

  • SOQL

  • SOSL

Salesforce Configuration & Security Model

• 60 months of experience with:

  • Salesforce Flow Builder

  • Record-Triggered Flows

  • Screen Flows

  • Autolaunched Flows

  • Validation Rules

  • Custom Objects

  • Organization-Wide Defaults (OWDs)

  • Sharing Rules

  • Profiles

  • Permission Sets

Salesforce DevOps

• 60 months of experience with:

  • Git/GitHub

  • Visual Studio Code

  • Salesforce CLI

  • SFDX

  • CI/CD tools such as Copado, Gearset, or Jenkins

  • Scratch Orgs

  • Sandboxes

AI & Prompt Engineering

• 24 months of experience integrating:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)

  • Prompt Engineering

  • Unified Data Profiles

  • AI capabilities into custom application development

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Salesforce Certification

Candidate should hold a:

• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer certification, or

• Other relevant Salesforce certification.
