Job Description


We are seeking a Stress and Lifing Analyst to join our team. The role will focus on structural analysis of static components such as casings, bearing supports, frames, and mounts under thermal, pressure, and mechanical loads. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in finite element analysis, mechanical integrity, stress, and lifing assessments and a proven ability to deliver accurate analyses, improve processes, and support reliability and safety across the product service life.


Responsibilities:



  • Perform mechanical integrity, stress, and lifing assessments using FEA and numerical modeling techniques.

  • Analyze static components including casings, bearing supports, frames, and mounts under complex loading.

  • Identify root causes and develop solutions through detailed analysis.

  • Participate in peer reviews to maintain technical quality and share knowledge.

  • Communicate results and recommendations through reports and presentations to customers and cross-functional teams.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes, and methods across the engineering community.

  • Mentor junior analysts and collaborate with cross-functional partners.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics with 2+ years of experience, or a Master's, or a PhD in Engineering.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience performing mechanical integrity, stress, and lifing assessments using FEA.

  • 5+ years of Ansys experience, including Workbench. ANSYS APDL is preferred.

  • Experience with gas turbines and dynamics.

  • Logical and analytical problem-solving with balanced technical and business decisions.

  • Knowledge of product integrity, liability, and certification frameworks.

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.


Preferred Skills:



  • ANSYS APDL in addition to Workbench.

  • Experience with strain gauge placement or blade tip timing.

  • Membership in a relevant professional body.

Additional Details



  • Work setup: Hybrid, 3 days onsite between Monday and Thursday depending on team.

  • Interview process: Virtual.

  • Target start date: As soon as selected.

  • Citizenship/Work authorization: Holder or USC. U.S. Person required for consideration.

  • Overtime: With prior approval.
