Job Description
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our team in League City, TX. In this position, you will serve as a key liaison between stakeholders, Product Owners, and delivery teams to translate business needs into effective technology solutions. As a Business Analyst I you will elicit, analyze, and break downs business requirements into actionable user stories that support iterative delivery. Additionally, you will ensure solutions meet business needs, quality standards and deliver business value throughout the product lifecycle.

What You'll Do:
- Partner with stakeholders, customers, and Product Owners to understand business needs, elicit and analyze requirements, translate them into user stories with acceptance criteria and maintain a pre-refined, prioritized backlog that meets Definition of Ready (DoR) standards.
- Engage in continuous collaboration across the entire product lifecycle, working closely with developers and cross-functional delivery teams to clarify requirements, address questions, and resolve issues throughout development.
- Identify risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Design, develop, and execute manual and regression testing activities, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, test data maintenance, and validation against user stories, acceptance criteria, negative scenarios, and edge cases. Ensure all system changes are thoroughly tested and do not adversely impact production functionality.
- Updates rules-based system tables for noncomplex changes when applicable.
- Identify, document, and track defects. Partner with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure all deliverables meet Definition of Done (DoD) criteria and adhere to established quality standards.
- Conduct release and deployment activities including code migration validation and regression testing, including after-hours support as needed.
- Provide production support, including incident triage, initial analysis, cross-team coordination, root cause analysis, and end-user communication.
- Support iteration execution by actively participating in key agile ceremonies, such as iteration planning, iteration reviews, and daily team syncs. Presents working product demos to large audiences and provides relevant business context and perspective in discussions.
- Bachelor's degree
- 0-4 years' experience in business analysis, systems support, quality analysis, insurance operations or related roles.
- Additional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the education or degree requirement.
- Must have basic system testing skills.
- Must have strong communication and people skills.
- Ability to self-manage and deliver results with minimal direction.
